I am fairly new to hip hop but I recognize most of those names. Eminem is my favorite, glad to see an alien ranks him in the top five.
I never thought that Snoop would be outside the top 10. How do you gather your information for your lists? I haven't really looked round the whole site yet so sorry if the answer is easily accessible.

The criteria I follow is really very simple.
a) How original is the artist, (snoop scores high here)
b) how influential is the rapper
c) how good are the lyrics (snoop loses major points here)
RE: Snoop - his flow is one of the most original anywhere, but the lyrical content / subject matter is always the same. (Bitches & $$$)
I have been a DJ for all of hip-hop's growth thru the years. I've spun all the greatest rap records since '79.
Snoop Dogg, like Ludacris while very talented is all gimmick,image, & flow
